Mobile libraries from across Europe will gather on the forecourt of the Coque National Sports and Culture Centre in Luxembourg Kirchberg. Take this unique opportunity to step aboard these remarkable vehicles and discover how they bring books, knowledge and culture to communities, connecting people with library services wherever they are.

Did you know? A bookmobile is a travelling library on wheels that brings the library closer to people. These specially adapted vehicles, often buses or vans, are stocked with books and other resources and visit towns and villages on a regular schedule, making borrowing easy and accessible. Among the many mobile libraries on display, you’ll also have the chance to discover Luxembourg’s own Bicherbus.

This event is organised as part of the International Mobile Library Congress 2026 hosted by the National Library.
