Discover the updated Luxembourg web archive Keyword search and interactive visualisation

Luxembourgish Collection

The National Library of Luxembourg is pleased to announce a major update to its web archive portal! With an all-new interface, users can now search by keyword rather than needing to enter a specific URL, allowing for a broader and more nuanced exploration of Luxembourg’s archived web space.

The upgraded web archive search engine also introduces improved data visualisation (for example instantly generated graphs) and advanced filtering options, making it easier to discover precisely what you’re looking for. Users may now refine their search by images, file type, language and year, providing more options to researchers, historians and the curious alike.

In its mission of preserving the country’s digital heritage, the National Library not only collects various printed publications but also preserves the Luxembourgish web space. To achieve this, it regularly organises extensive crawls and more targeted campaigns. Among the special collections available are websites related to communal, national and European elections, as well as those devoted to festivals held in Luxembourg or pages from press bodies.

At the moment, the archive can only be viewed on the computers provided inside the library building.
