Music streaming
The Naxos Music Library provides access to the catalogues of more than 50 labels in classical music, jazz and world music, representing over 3 million tracks.
Access is free of charge and reserved for registered users of the National Library who reside in Luxembourg or in neighbouring regions.
Film streaming
Several providers offer a wide selection of films, documentaries, concert recordings, dance performances, series and heritage films, in many languages, as well as a selection for younger audiences. Most video platforms also have dedicated apps for smartphones, tablets and smart TVs.
Access is free of charge and reserved for registered users of the National Library who reside in Luxembourg or in neighbouring regions.
How do I access the streaming services?
- Log in to a-z.lu and enter the name of a streaming platform in the search field (e.g. Naxos Music Library, Filmfriend, Kanopy, tënk...).
- Select “Digital library” from the dropdown menu, then start the search.
- Click on the name of the platform: a new window will open.
- Finally, click on the white box under “Full text availability” to be directed to the corresponding streaming service.
Please note that for Kanopy, you must create a user account on the Kanopy website to access the service.
What’s the “Médiathèque numérique du Luxembourg”?
The Médiathèque numérique du Luxembourg (MéNuLu) is a service launched in collaboration with the Cité Bibliothèque and the Centre national de l’audiovisuel. Five additional libraries joined MéNuLu in 2024. Thanks to partnerships with the platforms Filmfriend and Kanopy, users can access an extensive media library of documentaries, series, fiction films, children’s films and music.
