Joining the library

Joining the library

Signing up for a library card is free of charge for anyone over the age of 14 who would like to join. However, only people who are resident in Luxembourg or its border regions can borrow books and access online resources.

How do I join the library?

In person

You can simply apply for a library card at the reception desk. Don’t forget to bring along a proof of identity!

Anyone over the age of 14 can register for free, regardless of their place of residence or nationality.

Online

If you have access to a Luxtrust, eID or eIDAS product, or if you are a student at a Luxembourgish secondary or higher education institution approved by the State, the application can be made in just a few clicks with MyGuichet.

Your membership is valid for two years.

At the end of this period, simply renew your membership either in person at the reception desk or online in just a few clicks via MyGuichet.
