The National Library offers guided tours for private individuals and groups through its premises and organises educational activities for school visits. Please note that private group visits without a BnL guide are not permitted.
General public
The BnL regularly organises guided tours for private persons through its premises.
Clubs and groups
Terms
The National Library offers paid guided tours for clubs and private groups. Tours are only available on designated dates.
- Duration: about 1 hour and 30 minutes
- Language: French, German, Luxembourgish or English
- Group size: 5–20 people
The tour will be confirmed once we have received the signed quote.
Fees
- Group of 5 to 9 people: flat fee of €100
- Group of 10 to 20 people: flat fee of €200
Schools
The National Library offers guided tours for secondary school students aged 14 and above (5e and higher). These tours provide an introduction to the missions, resources and services of the BnL. Students will also explore the Reading Room and get a behind-the-scenes look at the library. On request, we can organise a presentation of documents from the special collections.
- Duration: about 1 hour and 30 minutes
- Language: French, German, Luxembourgish or English
- Group size: 10-25 students
Teachers and managers of Documentation and Information Centres (CDI) interested in organising a visit are invited to contact us as early as possible.
IFEN-approved training courses
The BnL organises training courses accredited by the Institut de formation de l’Éducation nationale, specifically designed for teaching staff.
