Guided tours and educational offer

The National Library offers guided tours for private individuals and groups through its premises and organises educational activities for school visits. Please note that private group visits without a BnL guide are not permitted.

Clubs and groups

The National Library offers free guided tours to clubs and private groups, which can be adjusted to suit the interests and requirements of the participants.

  • Duration: about 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • Language: French, German, Luxembourgish or English
  • Group size: 10-25 people

Group tours are only available on designated dates. Simply select your preferred date to make a reservation request. We will then contact you to confirm the details. New dates are added regularly.

Schools

The National Library offers guided tours for secondary school students aged 14 and above (5e and higher). These tours provide an introduction to the missions, resources and services of the BnL. Students will also explore the Reading Room and get a behind-the-scenes look at the library. On request, we can organise a presentation of documents from the special collections.

  • Duration: about 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • Language: French, German, Luxembourgish or English
  • Group size: 10-25 students

Teachers and managers of Documentation and Information Centres (CDI) interested in organising a visit are invited to contact us as early as possible.

The BnL organises training courses accredited by the Institut de formation de l’Éducation nationale, specifically designed for teaching staff.
