Searching and viewing

On the portal of the bibliography, you can explore references by theme or carry out a targeted search by title, author, subject, year of publication or keywords. The portal also allows you to reserve documents available for loan or for on-site consultation.

Scope of documents included

The National Bibliography records publications issued and printed in Luxembourg, as well as those published abroad which relate to the Grand Duchy, its nationals or its residents. It also includes works created by authors from Luxembourg or with a link to the Grand Duchy.

Certain types of documents are not included, in particular:

• advertising material without documentary value;
• event programmes without substantial editorial content;
• ephemeral publications (telephone directories, timetables, price lists, etc.);
• postcards;
• publications from European Union institutions when they do not specifically concern Luxembourg.
