Longer opening hours on Mondays From 31 March 2025

The National Library of Luxembourg is delighted to announce extended opening hours on Mondays. Starting from 31 March 2025, users will be able to enjoy access to the Reading Room from 10.00 to 20.00 every weekday, as well as from 10.00 to 18.00 on Saturdays. Previously closed on Monday mornings, the Reading Room will now be open throughout the day, offering more time for research, study and discovery.

While the Reception, Loans, and Information desks will remain unstaffed on Mondays, self-service facilities for borrowing and returning items will be available. Users can also make use of the library’s online services, such as registering via MyGuichet or booking a group study room (apart from the Music Room).

The BnL is a lively hub, attracting students, researchers and culture enthusiasts alike. In recent years, visitor numbers have steadily increased, highlighting the growing demand for our services. By extending our opening hours, we aim to better meet the needs of our users and provide them with more flexible access to our resources.
