Water bottles now permitted in Reading Room The BnL is listening to your feedback

Following a growing demand from its loyal users, the National Library announces that water bottles are now allowed in the Reading Room provided they are transparent and have a maximum capacity of 500 ml.

Rarely seen in heritage libraries, this allowance is designed to improve the comfort and well-being of our readers.

As this is a testing phase to evaluate the implications of this new policy, the BnL reserves the right to adjust this regulation if necessary. As a heritage library preserving rare, unique and valuable collections, the National Library asks its users to handle the documents with care and responsibility.
