Your support for an exhibition dedicated to peace in Luxembourg Call for donations or loans

In April 2026, the National Library of Luxembourg will open a major temporary exhibition on concepts of peace in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The exhibition, accompanied by a scientific publication, will offer an insight into the many initiatives that have worked towards peace – both in Luxembourg and beyond its borders, from the 19th century to the present day.

As part of this project, the BnL is launching a call for donations or loans to complete its collections of printed materials and to enrich the temporary exhibition.

We are looking for objects such as:

  • written documentation (letters, reports, protest speeches, press releases, correspondence, grey literature, archives of associations etc.)
  • audiovisual material (photos, films, sound recordings etc.)
  • three-dimensional objects (pins, t-shirts, accessories etc.)
  • protest material (banners, stickers, posters etc.)

Material on the following topics is particularly sought after: nuclear armament, NATO protest movements, anti-Vietnam War protests, solidarity with Chile, the Nicaragua Committee, Easter Marches and the anti-nuclear movement, protests against the Iraq War, the Ukraine-Russia war as well as the Israel-Palestine war, humanitarian actions and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

If you have objects that might be of interest to us, please contact us by e-mail before 16 December 2025.
