International congress of mobile libraries 2026 in Luxembourg

As part of the international Mobile Library conference 2026, we invite you to submit presentations and case studies.

The conference provides an international platform for the exchange of experiences, innovative concepts, and forward-looking developments in the field of mobile libraries and outreach library services.

We look forward to your contributions and to an inspiring international exchange in Luxembourg.

Best practice presentations should not focus on presenting individual mobile libraries, but rather on ideas, concepts, and approaches that have proven effective and can be replicated. They may also highlight challenges and key issues.

What can we expect in the next 5 years? Tell us about your plans, concepts, propulsion systems, larger or smaller vehicles.

Innovative service concepts.
New target groups.
Sustainability, vehicle concepts, and technical innovations.
Digital transformation, media evolution, and new hybrid services.

Submission of contributions

Interested participants are invited to submit a short abstract (approx. 300–500 words) outlining the title, objectives, content, and the practical added value of the contribution to bicherbus@bnl.etat.lu and direction@bnl.etat.lu.

Presentations should not exceed 20 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session.

In the event of a high number of submissions, the organisers reserve the right to carry out a selection process.

Participants will be informed afterwards about the accepted contributions.

Language

Contributions may be submitted and presented in German French, or English.

Deadline

Proposals must be submitted by 30 April 2026.
