Looking for inspiration? Each month, our subject specialists highlight a particular topic through a range of documents from the National Library’s collections. In June and July, discover our selection on the Olympic Games!
Our selection includes not only titles on the history of the Olympic Games and the Olympic idea from antiquity to modern times, but also works that address the political, economic, social and cultural aspects as well as freedom and environmental issues. It is rounded off by books on Luxembourg’s participation and on the city of Paris, which will host the Olympic Games for the third time from 26 July to 11 August 2024.
You can browse this compilation in the discovery area on the ground floor of the Reading Room. If you are interested in one of the documents, simply remove it from the shelf: they are all available for on-site consultation and/or home loan. Enjoy your read!
