Looking for inspiration? Each month, our subject specialists highlight a particular topic through a range of documents from the National Library’s collections. In October, discover our selection on empathy and tolerance!
It includes both books dedicated to understanding these values, as well as works that explore their development, characteristics and diverse forms of expression. Special attention is given to the importance of empathy and tolerance in interpersonal relationships, whether on a small or large scale, and even in a global context. Some titles also highlight the risks and negative aspects that can be associated with these values.
You can browse this compilation in the discovery area on the ground floor of the Reading Room. If you are interested in one of the documents, simply remove it from the shelf: they are all available for on-site consultation and/or home loan. Enjoy your read!
