    On 25 January, Professor Lionel Briand received the IEEE Reliability Society Engineer of the Year Award. He is FNR PEARL chair and Head of the Software Verification and Validation Laboratory at the University of Luxembourg's Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). The internationally renowned award honours Briand’s contribution to the advancement of model-driven engineering in software development instrumental in the maintenance of complex software systems, especially his achievements in model-based software verification and testing.
