In addition to collecting all kinds of printed publications, the National Library also preserves the Luxembourgish web. On the webarchive.lu platform, you can find out about the BnL's archiving campaigns and view the various site collections. Because of copyright legislation, archived websites can only be consulted inside the library building.
What sites are archived?
Like other national libraries, the BnL preserves all internet sites with the domain name “.lu” and other online sites set up by Luxembourgers. The BnL regularly organises extensive crawls, or collects websites related to specific subjects.
Among the special collections to be discovered on webarchive.lu are the communal (2017), national (2018) and European (2019) elections, as well as websites devoted to festivals organised in Luxembourg or internet pages devoted to the death and national funeral of HRH Grand Duke Jean.

About this service
In application of the amended Grand Ducal regulation of 6 November 2009 governing legal deposit for the benefit of the National Library, the latter collects, in addition to printed publications of all types, all documents published in Luxembourg in digital format.
Extensive harvesting campaigns are carried out in collaboration with the American foundation Internet Archive.
