Vu Gäert a Bicher
08/07/2023
“Vu Gäert a Bicher” can be translated in two ways: “Gardens and books” or “Gardens in books”. The new exhibition focuses on this double meaning and shows the diversity of historical and fictional gardens with the help of documents from the National Library’s collections. Books, magazines, prints, plans, postcards and songs tell the story of the art of gardening and horticulture, from the park to the school garden, and invite visitors to take a walk through the social, scientific and cultural history of Luxembourg. From advertisements to precious botanical illustrations, the exhibition will give a new perspective on the garden.
